Assistance Programs In SLo County

Below is a list of resources available throughout San Luis Obispo County, including our program, Green Pastures. For more information on Green Pasture, please click on the icon to the right.

40 PRADO: 

A: 40 Prado, SLO | T: 805.544.4004 | E: 40prado@capslo.org.  

-No private transportation is available, only city bus service. 

-Breakfast and dinner provided. Showers available.

-Professional and volunteer support services 

-Safe Parking Program: safe place to park overnight 

-CHC onsite: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. 

-Dental van: please call to verify times 

-Warming Center open when 50% chance of rain or 35 F or below (Nov. 1 – Apr. 30) 

 -Meals: Open 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. daily. 

Breakfast: 8:30 – 9:30 a.m.

PK lunch (hot meal) at 12 p.m.

Suspended bag lunch 1 – 1:15 p.m. at front gate

 -A rest area for individuals & families:

showers, laundry, restrooms, lockers, telephone, children's area 

 

CAPSLO Home Energy Assistance Program:

   * Note: The CAPSLO Energy Office is closed to all walk-in clients. 

 -HEAP assists low-income households with a once a year payment toward their utility bills (gas, propane, or electric).

 -Eligibility is based on household size and gross income.

 -Priority is given to households with small children, seniors age 65+, and those with disabilities.

-To be eligible for assistance through HEAP, applicants must:

•  be a San Luis Obispo County resident

•  be income eligible

•  provide income documentation for all adult household members 

during the previous 6 weeks

•  provide current gas and electric bills (2nd page must show service address)

SLO NOOR CLINIC:

-Eye clinic last Thursday of every month 8 a.m. –12 p.m.

 Open Thursday by appointment only (call and leave call back number.): Rental assistance (eviction notice), rental deposits, utilities (shut off notice), other financial needs (case by case basis, $200 or less)

• Utility assistance, eviction prevention
