Welcome to First Pres SLO

We are more than just an old stone church on the corner of Marsh and Morro. We are an inclusive, caring community that comes together each week to hear the teachings of Jesus Christ and celebrate the grace of God. We are a safe place where strangers become friends, the wounded can find spiritual care, and the skeptic can ask questions. We live as the hands and feet of Jesus Christ, serving others in our community and around the world.

Join us as we journey through Advent with Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love. This sacred season invites us to reflect on our faith, and prepare our hearts.

We encourage all kids to join us, we expanded our program a bit this year. The nursery is now open, and we have added dinner.

Have a question?

This Stewardship Season will tell us a lot about who we are, and also about who we want to be. The main point—and we won’t lose sight of this as we create a vision for the coming year—the main point is that we are Christ’s church, responding to Christ’s call, doing Christ’s work among people who Christ loves. Let that frame your own prayer and reflection this season.
